Supported Devices

iPhone

HaltH Tap works on iPhone XS and newer models.

This includes:

  • iPhone XS, XR

  • iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 (and newer)

Requirements:

  • iOS 16.4 or later

  • NFC enabled (standard on supported iPhones)

Not supported:

  • iPads

  • Older iPhones (iPhone X and earlier)

Android Phones and Tablets

HaltH Tap works on most modern Android devices that support NFC.

Common compatible devices include:

  • Google Pixel phones (Pixel 5 and newer)

  • Samsung Galaxy phones (S20 series and newer, Fold and Flip models)

  • Many newer devices from Motorola, Sony, OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, and others

Requirements:

  • NFC hardware built into the device

  • Android 9 or later

  • Google Play services enabled

If your Android device already supports contactless payments (for example, Google Wallet), it will usually support HaltH Tap.

Specialised Android Payment Devices

Some dedicated Android payment terminals and kiosks with built-in NFC are also supported. These devices are typically used in higher-volume or fixed-location setups.

If you are using specialised hardware, HaltH Support can help confirm compatibility.

Devices That Do Not Work

HaltH Tap does not work on:

  • Phones or tablets without NFC

  • iPads

  • Android devices running versions earlier than Android 9

  • Jailbroken or heavily modified devices

How to Check If Your Device Is Compatible

On iPhone

  1. Go to Settings, then General, then About

  2. Check your iPhone model and iOS version

  3. If your phone is iPhone XS or newer and up to date, it is supported

On Android

  1. Go to Settings, then About phone

  2. Check your Android version (9 or higher)

  3. Search for NFC in Settings to confirm it is enabled

Good to Know

  • No additional hardware is required to accept HaltH Tap

  • Clients can pay using contactless cards, phones, or watches

  • The experience is the same as tapping on a traditional card terminal

  • Availability may vary by country and payment method
