# Connect Nookal to HaltH

Sync your Nookal locations, clients and bookings with HaltH, and let HaltH reconcile paid bookings for you.

Connecting Nookal brings your locations, clients and bookings into HaltH. You keep managing availability, appointment types, prices and providers in Nookal, and HaltH picks up the changes.

## Before you start

-   **A Nookal login that can manage API keys.**
    
-   **Google Chrome,** if you want to take payments from inside Nookal with HaltH Extend.
    

## 1\. Create an API key in Nookal

1.  In Nookal, go to **Setup** → **Connections** → **API Keys**.
    
2.  Select **Generate API Key**.
    
3.  Select the locations this key can access. Include every location you want in HaltH.
    
4.  Turn on the **Status** switch and add a note, such as HaltH.
    
5.  Select **Save Changes**, then copy the key. Nookal only shows it once.

## 2\. Connect Nookal in HaltH

1.  In HaltH, go to **Connections**. Under **Practice software**, select **Nookal**.
    
2.  Paste your key into **Your Nookal API Key** and select **Connect Nookal**.
    
3.  HaltH syncs your locations, clients and bookings. Leave the page open until it finishes.
    
4.  On **Select your locations**, choose the locations to include in HaltH, then select **Continue**.
    
5.  Finish the remaining steps to set up your booking link and invite your team.
    

## 3\. Turn auto-reconciliation on or off

With Nookal, HaltH can reconcile paid bookings for you. When auto-reconciliation is on, HaltH creates an invoice in Nookal shortly after each booking is completed, with the payment and any funding applied.

1.  In HaltH, go to **Settings** → **Business**.
    
2.  Under **Settings**, turn **Auto-reconciliation** on or off. The change saves straight away.
    

> **You'll only see this setting when Nookal is connected.** If it's off, HaltH won't write invoices to Nookal. You can still reconcile a single booking by opening it in Nookal and selecting **Reconcile with HaltH** in HaltH Extend.

## 4\. Take payments inside Nookal

HaltH Extend works in Nookal as soon as it's installed in Chrome. Open an appointment and use the HaltH buttons beside it to invite the client, select **Pay with HaltH**, send a payment link or show a QR code. Nookal doesn't need the payment types step that Cliniko uses.

## If your sync stops working

If HaltH can't reach Nookal, you'll see a message that bookings and clients aren't updating, and **Connections** shows an alert. This usually means the API key was turned off or changed in Nookal.

1.  Create a new API key in Nookal (step 1 above).
    
2.  In HaltH, go to **Connections** → **Practice software**.
    
3.  Select **Update API key to reconnect** (or **Manage**). In **Update API Key**, paste the new key and select **Update**.
    
4.  Select **Sync** to pull in the latest bookings.
