Manage businesses and locations

Update your trading name and tax details, see which locations belong to each business, and add a business for a different ABN.

In HaltH, a business is the entity that takes payments, usually one ABN. Each business has its own locations, and runs its own payments and funding. All businesses in your organisation share the same practice software.

1. Update your business details

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Business.

  2. Under Business information, update your logo, Trading Name and Tax Identifier.

  3. Select Save.

The Tax Identifier locks once payments are set up. If you need to change it after that, contact our support team.

2. Check your locations

Under Locations, you'll see two lists:

  • Locations managed by this business take payments through this business.

  • Other locations in your organisation belong to another business, or aren't connected to one yet.

Locations come from your practice software. To add a location, create it there first. It appears in HaltH after the next sync.

If a location isn't connected to the right business, see how to connect a location to a business.

3. Add a business for a different ABN

If some of your locations operate under a different ABN, give them their own business.

  1. Go to Settings β†’ Business.

  2. Under Create a new business, select Create a new business.

  3. HaltH opens the new business, called New Business. Enter its Trading Name and Tax Identifier, then select Save.

  4. Connect its locations to it, then set up payments for the new business.

Delete a business

Only owners can delete a business, and your organisation must keep at least one.

  1. Open the business in Settings β†’ Business.

  2. Under Delete business, select Delete business, then Delete.

This can't be undone. The business's locations, settings and details are permanently removed from your organisation. If you're not sure, select Keep business.
